Al began his investment industry career in 2002, working at firms that included Merrill Lynch and seven years at Morgan Stanley with Gary Phelps. He and Gary joined Stifel in 2019. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Al acquired a strong banking and lending background while with LaSalle Bank and PNC Mortgage. Al leverages his experience to identify and help his clients develop tailored retirement planning strategies.
Al earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Roosevelt University and holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses. A long-standing member of the Barrington community, he was a member and coach of Barrington Youth Football for nearly 15 years and has coached several youth basketball and baseball teams.
Al has two sons, the oldest is a graduate of Indiana University and his youngest attends Kendall College. Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and fishing.

Gary began his investment industry career in 1997 and joined Stifel in 2019. He helps his clients develop and implement comprehensive wealth management strategies, focusing on their investment, retirement, and estate planning needs. Gary leverages his knowledge and experience to work with his clients in developing personalized roadmaps that help connect the dots as they pursue their vision of retirement.
Gary is committed to developing long-term relationships with his clients. He believes in listening twice as much as speaking, a strategy that has helped him gain a fuller understanding of clients’ goals, dreams, and concerns. In turn, Gary is better able to help clients pursue their financial objectives.
Away from work, Gary enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, hiking, and watching and playing baseball. He and his wife, Sue, have been married for more than three decades and have two children.
